Glenda Watson

President & Founder

Glenda Watson founded Affordable Homes of Chicago Inc. in 2004 because of the lack of affordable housing found within the community.

Affordable Homes of Chicago (AHOC) is her way of educating the public about housing opportunities, counseling, securing affordable housing, providing access to affordable home repairs, and putting families in homes that need shelter.

Glenda has a Master's Degree in communication, Media, Education, holds a Managing Brokers License, and has been a Realtor since 1991. 

Her favorite things to do are spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.

Madie Sanders

Treasurer 

Madie Sanders is an accountant for Affordable Homes. She has a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.  She also has a MA in Instructional Training and Technology.  She has many years of experience in technology, accounting, payroll, taxes, and administrative work. Her favorite things to do are spending time with family, traveling and cooking.  She takes pride in helping others.

Never McLeod

Fundraiser

Never McLeod’s mission is to bring awareness to issues plaguing the underserved and provide service-learning opportunities for her students and children. Never McLeod is a tenured educator and mother of four She teaches her students and children to help disadvantaged populations by collecting donations and lending a helping hand. 

McLeod established O.S.A. Cares, a service orientated organization, that has organized several collection drives, created fundraising campaigns, and coordinated hands-on activities for her students. Making her an asset to our fundraising department.

Derek McNeal 

Board Member since 2004

McNeal is a published author and talented sought-after Real-Estate professional and educator. He has been licensed in Real Estate since 1999.  He holds a Juris Doctor(J.D.) degree from John Marshall Law School and is a DePaul University graduate in addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.).  

In Derek’s spare time, he is an avid reader and musician who moves to the beat as a drummer.
